Kathryn Schmidt is an Art Therapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor currently residing in Courtenay, BC. Kathryn has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Simon Fraser University (2009) and a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from Concordia University (2016). Kathryn has worked with a variety of individuals including children, adolescents, adults & seniors. She has provided services for individuals with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, AD/HD, Opposition Defiant Disorder, anxiety & depression. Kathryn uses a client-centred approach in order to reach each client where they are. She combines a psychotherapeutic approach with art materials in order to engage and build a strong relationship with each client so they can reach their therapeutic goals.
